Audiometry and Hearing Conservation Programs

Audiometry and Hearing The purpose of audiometric testing is to determine the overall effectiveness of a hearing conservation program and it's components. Unless the collected audiometric data is properly audited and monitored. potential health problems and disability claims may stay unmanaged.

Audiometry is performed by CAOHC certified medical technicians using Tremetrics RA500 Advance Microprocessor Audiometers, This audiometer allows for direct computer hook-up to process, store, and compare hearing results, Our mobile units are outfitted with International Acoustics Corporation (IAC) audiometric test rooms. These acoustical environments are designed to provide audiometric testing in compliance with OSHA permissible background noise standards. Four inches of acoustical rubber foam surround the audiometric test room, and an additional four inches surround the entire mobile unit.

Records Management

Comparison of records is the only way to determine if standard threshold shifts have occured or if an employee's hearing is gradually deteriorating. They also guide your company through regulatory compliance and the prevention of noise-induced hearing loss. Most Health Services utilizes both HEARTRACT" and Occupational Health Manager" software Programs for records management. These programs offer a variety of summar reports which meet both regulatory and customer requirements. Summary reports save many hours of sorting through audiometric test data to determine the effectiveness of your program.Indivdual reports and notification letters regarding medical referral and/or standard threshold shifts and re-testing may be generated on-site after the completion of the testing program.
